This programme integrated hybrid problem-based learning mode which inculcates a solid scientific foundation imbued with a strong humanistic values. The teaching/learning environment encourages the students to pursue exploration and discovery through guided exploration. It consists of three phases. Phase one address basic normal functions of the human body, Phase II is body reaction to injury and Phase III is clinical medicine. The programme is designed for self-directed learning with emphasis on communication skills, computer-aided learning, and ethics. The first two Phases are taught in the Shah Alam main campus and the Phase III clinical years in the ultra-modern paperless Selayang and Sungai Buloh Hospital.
International admissions requirements
Students should have a Matriculation (Ministry of Education) or Foundation in Sciences ,UiTM (Asasi Sains) or PASUM with a CGPA of 3.50 and minimum Grade A- in the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics and pass SPM with credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Additional Mathematics or STPM levels with a minimum of CGPA 3.50 with Grade A- in three subjects as following : Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics/Additional Mathematics and pass SPM with credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Additional Mathematics or Pass in the Diploma of Sciences/Diploma in Microbiology/Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology/Diploma in Pharmacy from UiTM with CGPA at least 3.50 pass in MUET (minimum Band 3. Faculty of Medicine Diponegoro University offers the Hybrid Curriculum, where the students get either PBL and Lecture, also laboratory work to complete their study.
